We ordered many favourite dishes and tried a couple of new things too to celebrate my husband's birthday with friends. Even though the restaurant was packed due to Vaisakhi celebrations, they were able to get our food ready on time and everything was fresh and super delicious! Our guests were delighted. Our only complaint is that the pakoras did not come with sauce and neither did the "samosa with chutney". Both of these items have sauce in the picture, and the samosas explicitly say "with chutney", so we were surprised and disappointed. When I asked later, I was told you have to specify to them that you want sauce. That has not been the case at any other Indian restaurant we've been to in 50 years of eating Indian food, so I would recommend to the restaurant to just include the sauces, especially for gorehs who don't know better! 😉

Please support local businesses! The food over in Wasawa's is authentic indian food, delicious, variety style of different cookings, service is great and helpful and warm welcoming. It's recommended if you live near by the fraser neighbourhood and this is a must try place if you like Indian food and the experience there is lovely too!
